The converted CAT 973 is designed to efficiently return residual material into old, unused tunnels. With radio remote control, the machine can be operated remotely, eliminating the need for the operator to work physically in the dangerous mining environment. This increases safety and improves operational control. <\/p>\n
Removing the cab not only improves safety but also enhances the machine\u2019s manoeuvrability. The compact design allows precise material pushing\u2014even up to the ceiling\u2014in narrow tunnels. This provides exceptional flexibility and efficiency, even in the most challenging conditions. <\/p>\n
The CAT 973 is not the only machine we have converted to radio remote control. We have successfully adapted four track loaders in total: two for salt mines and two for steel foundries. In both sectors, radio remote control has proven to be a valuable addition, improving both safety and productivity. <\/p>\n
