Safety, Efficiency and Precision in Salt Mining
Our CAT 973 track loader has been converted to radio remote control for an innovative application in a salt mine. By removing the machine’s cab and enabling operation via radio technology, we have created a more compact and safer solution for material handling in the mine.
What Makes This Machine Unique?
The converted CAT 973 is designed to efficiently return residual material into old, unused tunnels. With radio remote control, the machine can be operated remotely, eliminating the need for the operator to work physically in the dangerous mining environment. This increases safety and improves operational control.
Compact and Powerful
Removing the cab not only improves safety but also enhances the machine’s manoeuvrability. The compact design allows precise material pushing—even up to the ceiling—in narrow tunnels. This provides exceptional flexibility and efficiency, even in the most challenging conditions.
Practical Experience
The CAT 973 is not the only machine we have converted to radio remote control. We have successfully adapted four track loaders in total: two for salt mines and two for steel foundries. In both sectors, radio remote control has proven to be a valuable addition, improving both safety and productivity.
Innovation That Works
By converting our machines to radio remote control, we invest in technology that enhances operator safety and increases productivity. Radio remote control not only provides a higher level of safety but also allows extremely precise operation, even in the most complex environments such as salt mines and steel factories.
